McGuireWoods LLP has an exciting and unique opportunity for an outgoing and resourceful paralegal to join a strong team, working with innovative and tech savvy clients on the cutting-edge of their industries.  This position supports the Product and Consumer and Complex Commercial litigation teams in our Pittsburgh, PA office.  The ideal candidate would enjoy working closely with a team in a fast paced environment; identifying and providing solutions to effectively manage a large volume of cases, discovery and documentation; and be technologically proficient in legal case management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, privilege logs, depositions and witness interviews
  • Managing case files and matter documents through e-Rooms and other legal management platforms
  • Reviewing, organizing, and analyzing pertinent case documentation
  • May oversee the workflow of junior level legal support staff, including temporary employees

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of litigation paralegal experience in a mid to large firm is strongly desired
  • Bachelor degree and Paralegal certificate from ABA- approved program preferred
  • Advanced technical skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Concordance)
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly with case files/document management
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
