Overview

McGuireWoods LLP has an opening for a Litigation Project Assistant in Dallas, TX. The project assistant provides support to paralegals and attorneys in the Financial Services Litigation group. Qualities possessed by an ideal candidate include up to two years of general/clerical legal experience in the litigation department of a law firm, an eye for detail and accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and organizes supplies to support client matters, including distribution of supplies and case files for special projects/events such as trial and on-site document reviews, collections and productions
  • Maintains and retrieves case files as requested and prepares closed matters for off-site storage
  • Processes production letters and other case correspondence and pleadings
  • Assists with document collection and maintaining e-rooms
  • Organizes document productions and prepares indices of document productions
  • Maintains and updates practice groups spreadsheet, tracking all cases

  • Maintains and updates calendar ensuring all deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent with some college education preferred and one to two years law office clerical or general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate filing skills
  • Familiar with Serengeti, iManage and/or Worksite a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required
