Overview

The Firm's Toxic Tort and Environmental Litigation practice group has a need for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team in Richmond. The Paralegal is relied upon to manage and lead all supportive aspects for a busy litigation practice, including federal and state court filings, case files, discovery, depositions and trial preparation for litigation cases.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas, and discovery-related materials
  • Managing case files and matter documents through e-Rooms and docketing systems
  • Ensuring filings are in compliance with court rules and filing and e-filing documents therein
  • Assisting attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas
  • Assisting with document review and analysis through various platforms, e.g., Relativity, Concordance, etc.
  • Preparing for and attending depositions and trials

 

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of litigation experience
  • Experience preparing for and attending depositions and trials
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, particularly with case files/document management
