McGuireWoods LLP is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support our Attorney Recruiting & Professional Development department in the Tysons office. The ideal candidate will have previous law firm or professional services experience with strong attention to detail and excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the attorney recruiting and professional development department
  • Maintain recruiting files and database in LawCruit
  • Input all resumes into LawCruit; perform entry of interview schedules; update candidate status and prepare response/decision replies
  • Coordinate the scheduling of video interviews and schedule conference rooms for interviews
  • Prepare and maintain Summer Associate and Associate files; assist in preparation of offer and rejection letters
  • Collect and organize interview evaluation forms
  • Assist in all aspects in on-boarding new lawyers
  • Maintain the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) roster of lawyers; assist lawyers as needed with PLI Program
  • Assist in maintaining department budget

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Requires high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years administrative/secretarial experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Human Resources, Recruiting and Legal/Professional Services experience preferred
  • Ability to compose business letters and other correspondence using the proper formatting, grammatical, punctuation styles as well as proofreading skills 
  • Microsoft Office PC skills with emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to maintain LawCruit recruiting database
