Overview

The Firm's Products and Consumer Litigation practice group has a need for a Junior Litigation Paralegal to join its team in Richmond, VA. The Paralegal is relied upon as a subject matter expert in the management of federal and state court filings, case files, discovery, depositions and trial preparation for large litigation cases.  The ideal candidate will be technologicially savvy, have strong data management skills, and work well in a fast paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with preparing and cite-checking legal documents to include pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas, and discovery
  • Managing case files through e-Rooms and document management system
  • E-filing large documents in federal and state court
  • Assist attorneys with discovery phase to include discovery requests, issuing subpoenas, and coordinating/preparing for depositions
  • Assist attorneys and outside document vendors with large-scale document production and review through various platforms, i.e. Relativity and Concordance
  • Prepare for and attend trial

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience preparing for and attending trial preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly with case files/document management
