    McGuireWoods has an opening for a full-time receptionist in our downtown  Los Angeles office.  The work hours are 8:30-5:30 Monday - Friday.  As the receptionist at the law firm, you will be the "face" of the office and a positive representation of our commitment to providing excellent client service.  The ideal candidate will have bilingual skills in Spanish/English.

    Responsibilities

    • Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answers and refers inquiries.  Your ability to be composed and in-control is critical as you represent the firm in all of your interactions
    • Announces and directs visitors; validates client parking tickets as appropriate
    • Follows security protocol and procedures for clients and guests; monitors logbook; issues visitor badges
    • Handles incoming telephone calls via attendant console software
    • Sets up conference calls, schedules conference rooms and maintains on-line calendar of conference room reservations
    • Coordinates catering requests; works closely with outsourced conference services personnel to ensure room set-ups and food/beverage needs are covered
    • Assists practice assistants and accounting department with overflow work

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred
    • Bilingual skills in Spanish/English preferred
    • Minimum of three years of receptionist experience required, preferably in a large law firm or professional services environment
    • Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills
    • High computer literacy and skill with MS Office and other software
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Professional telephone manner
