    McGuireWoods has a need for a Tax Accountant to join the firm’s tax team in the Richmond, VA office. This team member will have 2-3 years of tax accounting experience preparing both federal and state income tax returns for a multi-state business.

    • Assist with preparation of federal income tax return, and partner K-1s
    • Prepare state income tax returns and quarterly estimated state income tax payments
    • Prepare sales/use tax returns
    • Prepare business personal property filings
    • Prepare state/local business license filings
    • Prepare partnership and state bar registration/renewals
    • Assist with preparation of 1099-MISC and 1099-S information returns
    • Prepare monthly bookkeeping reconciliations and assist with tax compliance for other firm related entities
    • Assist with other tasks/projects as needed


    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance and one to two years of professional tax experience; CPA Candidate a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required
    • Customer service oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
