  • Overview

    McGuireWoods has a need for a Case Assistant in its Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation practice in Chicago, IL. The case assistant will be responsible for e-filing, document production, and general support during the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience, the ability to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders, and strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Assists with document collection and maintaining e-rooms.
    • Processes production letters and other case correspondence and pleadings.
    • Maintains, organizes and retrieves case files as requested and prepare closed matters for off-site storage.
    • Bates labels documents as requested. 
    • Organizes, labels and files case materials as directed. 

    Qualifications

    • Requires one year certificate from college or technical school, and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Accurate filing skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required.
    • Good planning and organizational skills.
