    McGuireWoods has an opening for a Case Assistant in our San Francisco, CA office. The legal case assistant provides support to attorneys and other team members. Qualities possessed by an ideal candidate include up to two years of general/clerical legal experience, an eye for detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the role.

    Responsibilities

    • Assists in closing binder preparation and distribution, and with other financing and corporate document distributions.
    • Maintains closing checklists and properly organizes and archives signature pages of closing documents on the firm's document management system.
    • Works with attorneys leading up to and on the closing date to track document deliveries.
    • Assists with document collection and maintaining e-rooms.
    • Maintains, organizes and retrieves case files as requested and prepare closed matters for off-site storage.

    Qualifications

    • Requires high school diploma or equivalent with some college education preferred and one to two years law office clerical or general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Accurate filing skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required.
    • Team oriented; Good planning and organizational skills.
