    McGuireWoods has an opportunity for a self-starting, enthusiastic individual to join its Technology team as an Audio Visual/Multimedia Conference Center Technician. The candidate most closely-aligned with the role will have experience coordinating and setting up video conference meetings. This person will also be comfortable troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining AV equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate, calendar and support all meetings requiring audio visual technology.
    • Sets up video conference meetings to include scheduling, coordination of presentation materials, and quality control.
    • Troubleshoot AV equipment and conduct routine functional testing.
    • Support off-site and/or after-hours events when needed.
    • Support and troubleshoot the Firm’s workstations, Windows7 and Windows10 Operating systems.
    • Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of audio visual/multimedia equipment and systems.  

    Qualifications

    • Degree in related technology field and certifications in microcomputer or media technologies (e.g. A+, MCP or MCSA).
    • A minimum of two years of experience in Audio Visual services. CTS certification is preferable.
    • Knowledge of AV control systems, projection systems and wireless microphone technologies. Requires a good working knowledge of video recording and editing.
    • Significant familiarity with PowerPoint and presentation/screen sharing software is a must.
    • Experience with the following technologies:
      • Cisco and Polycom video conference bridging and video and end points.
      • Creston, Clear One and Biamp.
      • Cisco Jabber.
    • Audio Visual mobile and cloud applications.
    • A fundamental knowledge of networking as it relates to video traffic and network QOS.
    • Motivated to actively pursue audio visual technical training through Infocomm and other related groups to ensure a CTS is achieved within twelve months (plan is outlined annually).
