    McGuireWoods has an opening for a full-time receptionist in the Richmond, VA office.  The work hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm,  Monday - Friday.  As the receptionist at the law firm, you will be the "face" of the office and a positive representation of our commitment to client service. The ideal candidate is a hospitality or service professional with a demonstrated passion for customer satisfaction.

    • Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answers and refers inquiries.  Your ability to be composed and in-control is critical as you represent the firm in all of your interactions.
    • Announces and directs visitors; validates client parking tickets as appropriate.
    • Follows security protocol and procedures for clients and guests; monitors logbook; issues visitor badges.
    • Handles incoming telephone calls via attendant console software
    • Sets up conference calls, schedules conference rooms and maintains on-line calendar of conference room reservations.
    • Coordinates catering requests; works closely with outsourced conference services personnel to ensure room set-ups and food/beverage needs are covered
    • Helps with processing of invoices and expense reports using Chrome River


    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred
    • Minimum of three years of receptionist experience required
    • Experience in hospitality or customer service a plus
    • Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills
    • High computer literacy and skill with MS Office and other software
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Professional telephone manner
