Overview

The Firm's Government Investigations and White Collar Litigation practice group has a need for an experienced Case Assistant to join its team in Richmond, VA. The Case Assistant is relied upon as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery document review platforms (Relativity) and the document review process.  A strong candidate for this position demonstrates interest in the legal profession, has a keen eye for detail and accuracy, collaborates with team members, and possesses superior communication, technical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, labels and files electronic and hard copies of case materials as directed.
  • Researches and retrieves documents from case management systems (CaseMap, FileSite, eRoom, Pacer, and Relativity) as requested.
  • Maintains and organizes supplies to support client matters, including distribution of supplies and case files for special projects/events such as trial and on-site document reviews, collections and productions.
  • Maintains and retrieves case files as requested and prepares closed matters for off-site storage.
  • Assists with document collection and maintaining e-rooms.
  • Processes production letters and other case correspondence and pleadings.
  • Organizes document productions and prepares indices of document productions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or some experience in a law firm preferred. 
  • Excellent technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with case management systems and/or E-Discovery platforms (CaseMap, FileSite, eRoom, Pacer, and Relativity) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate filing skills.
