McGuireWoods LLP has an opening for a Case Assistant in our Atlanta, GA office. The Case Assistant provides support to attorneys in the Public Finance group. Qualities possessed by an ideal candidate include up to two years of experience in a law firm or professional environment, an interest in a career in the legal profession, a keen eye for detail and accuracy, superior communication, and strong technical and organizational skills.

• Create labels, file electronic and hard copies of documents, and handle post-closing matters.
• Research, retrieve, and collect documents in iManage and e-rooms.
• Process invoices, create shipping labels, redline documents, maintain Excel spreadsheets, and create PDFs.
• Prepare and compile signature pages and exhibits.
• Proofread documents for grammatical and spelling errors.
• Handle post-closing filings (IRS, UCC, land records).
• Prepare final closing transcripts.
• Calendar deadlines and reminders.

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with some college education preferred and one to two years law office clerical or general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail along with excellent spelling and grammar.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
