Overview

McGuireWoods LLP has an opening for an entry or junior-level Data Steward to join our team in either our Richmond, VA,  Austin, TX, or Houston, TX office. The Data Steward will be responsible for the overall health and maintenance of the firm’s client relationship management (CRM) system, as well as the creation and distribution of client digital communications via the firm’s email marketing system, DealCloud. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, a technical aptitude, business process acumen, attention to detail and sound project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, and implement email marketing campaigns in firm’s CRM system, DealCloud.
  • Responsible for maintaining data quality and enhancing contacts in DealCloud.
  • Review and process Data Change Management tickets.
  • Run advanced list imports and conduct other mailing list updates, as needed.
  • Monitor and merge duplicate contacts.
  • Research contact data including associations between people and companies.
  • Research and update company data including, but not limited to, revenue, number of employees and SIC codes.
  • Ensure CRM data is compliant with data protection and data privacy laws.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with creating and sending email marketing campaigns, HTML, database query and reporting (DealCloud preferred but not required).
  • 2-3 years of experience with CRM systems and marketing technology platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate detailed data and technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a project team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining sound prioritization skills in a deadline-oriented environment.
