Overview

McGuireWoods is seeking to hire a Private Equity Analyst to join the team in our Dallas, TX or Los Angeles (Century City), CA offices. The Private Equity Analyst provides essential support to the Emerging Manager Program through logistical coordination, data management, and cross-functional collaboration. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in private equity and gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Data Management
• Maintain and update the CRM system to track relationship information, contact touchpoints, GP/LP data, and feedback.
• Analyze relationship data and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Update and maintain regional lists for targeted outreach and relationship tracking.

 

Relationship Support
• Monitor and respond to inquiries from the ecosystem, providing timely and accurate information.
• Communicate with applicants regarding status updates and requirements for program participation.
• Monitor publications and new sources for opportunities, and assist senior team members in researching and gathering intelligence on prospective and existing relationships.
• Prepare pre-meeting reports with pertinent information to create high-value interactions, and support with tracking of post meeting follow-up.
• Manage outreach to contacts for opportunities.

 

Logistics Coordination
• Manage invitation processes in collaboration with Business Development and Events teams.
• Serve as the primary contact with software vendors to address issues and ensure seamless functionality.
• Coordinate firm conference panel logistics, sponsor outreach, and on-site conference execution activities.

 

Content Management
• Source content and coordinate releases for the Closing Corner, Spotlight Series, and Fund Flow Podcast.
• Maintain and update the Emerging Manager Program & Conference websites for accuracy and relevancy.
• Collaborate with marketing colleagues to ensure consistent branding and messaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field coupled with experience in a similarly structured position. Experience in investment banking or private equity preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, including proficiency with Excel and CRM platforms. DealCloud experience preferred.
  • Strong research and AI skills preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly convey information.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
