Overview

The Firm's Government Investigations and White Collar Litigation practice group has a need for a Case Assistant to join its team in Richmond, VA. This is a very unique opportunity to work with a senior partner and the broader team on a wide range of administrative and substantive issues.  Historically, this position has been filled by a recent college graduate who is interested in attending law school.  The job will give the candidate exposure to many aspects of practice at a large law firm.  A two-year commitment is requested. A strong candidate for this position is highly organized, has superb written and verbal communication skills, has a high degree of discretion, and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Supports a very active law practice with scheduling, confidential communications, and organization of materials.
  • Provides the full range of support for sensitive client matters, from basic administrative tasks to more advanced involvement, including significant contact with clients.
  • Assists with document collection, production, and maintenance of e-rooms.
  • Some travel and work outside of normal working hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record. 
  • Excellent technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate filing skills.
